Purist or Pragmatist?
As Branden has gotten older, he has slowly been moving ever closer to the "purist" Libertarian viewpoint, but is still shackeled by his often pragmatist logic. He has finally admitted, however, that the only real reason he can come up for a valid reason for the government to exist is because *other* governments exist...and without one, it would be nearly impossible to prevent another oppressive government from simply using their monopoly of force and ability to print endless amounts of useless money to steamroll over those people who don't have governments.
