Unemployment

This is an economic term, which refers to the number of people in an economy who are able to work but have no job or vocation.

Lots of countries measure unemployment by using the International Labour Organisation definition or by how many people are claiming unemployment benefits.

John Maynard Keynes defined full employment as 3% unemployment. Full employment means that everyone in the econonmy who wants a job has a job.
