The problem with women voting is the same problem as black people voting, same problem as kids voting or even white male age 25-40 voting. The result of any vote should never result in the violation of inalienable rights. If the outcome of an election wouldn't change how you lived your life, or how much you the government confiscates from you, you wouldn't care so much about voting. There would be no more lobbying as there would be nothing to lobby for. Special interests group could mind their interests internally without always putting a gun to everyone's head and saying they want it that way.

But moreover, since women are biologically more inclined to be seduced by bad boys and abusive assholes, what makes you think they vote differently? --CorrosionX 15:22, 5 February 2006 (Eastern Standard Time)

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. (Attributed to Alexander Tytler)

The real problem is democracy, coupled with no enforcement of constitutional limitations. Not only is it ridiculous to generalize about women voters, but even if it was mostly true, I can come up with just as many problems with men in general. The design of the US gov't is such that the people aren't supposed to decide on every issue. We have representatives, who swear to uphold the constitution, making the decisions for us. It's a pretty good solution to the problem of uneducated voters (or voters who would happily violate the rights of others), except for the fatal flaw: representatives don't take their oath seriously, and they're not held accountable in any way.

Libertarianism is seen as a male-dominated philosophy, if it's ever going to gain traction, it is going to be with the support of women as well. The attitudes of those suggesting this are harmful to libertarianism in general, as they alienate women who would possibly support us otherwise. --Knave 22:21, 6 February 2006 (Eastern Standard Time)

Well women shouldn't feel insulted because I think they shouldn't vote. I think I shouldn't vote and you shouldn't vote either. Libertarians cannot feel otherwise because if individual rights are paramount, no vote could change the outcome of how you live your life. That's the way to run a country, hands-off.--CorrosionX 22:52, 6 February 2006 (Eastern Standard Time)
