Ron Paul is a Republican member of the House of Representatives for the 14th Congressional district of Texas. He is well-known for his limited government ideology and often votes against legislation that is unconstitutional, earning him the nickname "Dr. No".
What Ron Paul isn't as well-known for is his symphaties with PNAC. In 1993, he wrote the book The Case for Gold together with Lewis E. Lehrman, who is at the Board of Directors of Project for the New American Century. This was outed Dec 17 at The French Connection.
2008 Presidential Campaign
On January 11, 2007, he started an exploratory committee for the 2008 presidential race. [1]
On February 25, 2007, he gave the closing speech at the New Hampshire Liberty Forum [ video ]
On March 12, 2007 he formally declared his candidacy. [2]
