An open relationship is an alternative to a traditional relationship, intended to avoid dishonesty, cheating, and jealousy, through truthfulness and communication. Despite what those who argue against it say, it is not an excuse to become swingers and share multiple partners, but instead an agreement to always deal in honesty, and minimize curiosity.
