The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is a constitutional monarchy bordered to the south by France, to the west with Belgium, and to the East with Germany. It is a small nation with less than half a million residents. The country is home to a number of banking and financial institutions which contributes to a high per capita income. French, German, and Letzeburgesh are spoken. French and German influences and ethnicity have shaped the primary ethnic groups. Luxembourg was a founding member of the European Union.
