A sign prohibiting Jaywalking

Jaywalking is the act of not crossing a road at a designated crossing point. It has been reported in the past that jaywalkers have been attacked by the police after committing this "crime." In the United Kingdom jaywalking is not considered a crime, as the government there takes freedom slightly more seriously than the government of the United States does, although, like the US, the UK is ruled by a tyrannic government.

People have been given an prison sentence for jaywalking, a victimless crime. This is an example of the measures carried out by the tyrannic government to restrict the freedoms of ordinary citizens of the United States.

Jaywalking is prohibiting the average American from having freedom of choice in an area as simple as crossing the road. Restricting victimless crimes less is a commons action take by the United States government, which governs the "land of the free."

Jaywalking is probably one of the most unpopular of the laws imposed by the authoritarian government as sometimes even citizens who have been subject to government propaganda all their life still realize how ridiculous this law is. In California even pet chickens are subject to this restrictive rule. In 2005 the owners of a chicken got taken to court over this issue.

In some cases, jaywalkers are engaging in a minor form of civil disobedience. These individuals cite further ways in which roads have become less pedestrian-friendly, including reduced or removed lighting at night, and the removal of sidewalks on one or both sides of the road. To them, jaywalking is a means of expressing their discontent with the road system and its lack of consideration for non-vehicular traffic. In 2005 Tempe, AZ was the site of a mass jaywalking protest as hundreds of protesters led by Kaveh Sanaei walked back and forth across the main street during rush hour in protest of the removal of street lamps. In response the city government imposed higher jaywalking fines to raise revenue for street lamps. This is a totally unjust move by an evil government that is using threats to promote it's position as the unquestioned rulers of our lives. Many citizens have not yet realized how unjust the government's actions are.
