Are there guidelines or a vision for what an FTL wiki article should look like? So far, a lot of biased or opinionated stuff is sitting there, and it doesn't look very professional. Do we want it to be a Wikipedia-of-freedom (and therefore, factual)? Even if there is a libertarian slant, which I think is expected, there's no need to use goofy/derogatory terms when discussing the problems with govt. I think the biased style of writing is going to turn a lot of people off, but that's just my opinion. :)
I'm assuming there's pretty much no vision as of today, because Ian said he just put this here to see what would happen. If there's not much disagreement here, I'm going to add a Vision or Guidelines section to the Community help page, so people have an idea of how we want to present information on this thing. This would be a great place to aggregate information that would perhaps convince people who don't already support libertarianism to try it on for size. Obviously there's little use to the wiki if it's only going to be read by people who already think this way. --Knave 22:37, 6 February 2006 (Eastern Standard Time)
- Those are all good thoughts; I have no problem with you adding content, I even encourage it =). You are right too, there is little collective vision right now. I have my vision, I suspect other people do too, but its just not formal yet. I agree with you that this has a great opportunity to become a centralized location for liberty information if we can keep the signal to noise ratio down.
