Fox News Admits Torture Does Not Work

I was watching Fox News recently and they covered the release of Jill Carroll, an American journalist who got kidnapped by terrorists in Iraq. Prior to her release, her captors shot some video of her denouncing America and praising jihadists; apparently some conservatives are looking down on Jill for her remarks.
It makes sense to me: if someone was telling me that I was going to die unless I said America is the bastion of world evil and I honestly believed they would carry through with it, I would certainly sing the song they wanted to hear. Some times your life is just worth more than your political ideology - its all just words anyway. Apparently for these conservatives detainment and threats of harm can only make truth come out.
I think its funny that Fox News made an effort to point out that Jill's remarks were made under duress. It is true, when held captive and threatened the words coming out of your mouth can't be trusted. This is as true for Jill as it is for any other person in the world. So if Fox News is going to put out that torture (yes, holding her captive and threatening her is torture) makes an American citizen lie through her teeth, then why don't they point out that using torture to interrogate the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay will never yield fruitful results? Of course Fox News would never report on that.
