BosWash (aka the North-eastern Socialist Belt) is a continuously urbanized stretch of overpriced land that is home to 44 million socialists, stretching from Washington, DC through Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York City, Bridgeport, Providence, and finally Boston, with many smaller towns and suburbia in between. Some claim that it reaches as far north as Manchester and Portland, Maine.

It is one of the four cardinal directions of New Hampshire, the other three being the Rust Belt (west), the Fish Belt (east), and the French Belt (north).
